Don't know what everyone is talking about. Its just a touristy very long wooden pier. What ruins things is cars actually drive on the pier to a parking lot right on the pier and ruin the atmosphere. Rest of santa barbara is nice with tons of stores. Great if you want to spend money. more
We walked along the wharf recently while visiting SB. It makes for a wonderful walk on a nice SB sunny day. We will always remember that it was the first place we watched sea lions frolicking in the water. Very neat to see! more
Took my 1st walk on Stearns Wharf in about 20 years and It was great!!! The weather was ideal and I was extremely impressed on the rebuilding of the pier after a devastating fire years back. My husband I spent a couple hours on Stern's Warf and had a wonderful time. It is absolutely beautful out there!! I took several pictures, which didn't give it justice. We ate at Moby Dicks for lunch and I had the most delicious clam chowder that I've ever had. If you eat there, be sure to sit by the window... more
I recently went to santa barbara on oct. 8-15 to visit family. I am from ohio and have never seen the ocean, so i was definitly exited about going.
