Fabulous new director has lifted this museum up from boring to fabulous and fun.

A small but bright and interesting museum with three (four) levels of small galleries. There's also a small rooftop deck with some sculpture you should check out. MAH has the 1st Friday with a special exhibit, but did you know that there is now a 3rd Friday event? Yes! They now have one!!! Love the new curator's ideas and involvement with the museum and patrons!

We only went to see the history part of the museum. It was an enlightening exhibition of the Santa Cruz notables, peoples, industry, and how it became what it is today. Give at least an hour to see. It was worth it.

The revolving exhibits are worth checking out. Great care with an artistic flare goes into the upkeep of this wonderful place.

A very good permanent collection and great special exhibits - like the ceramics show from last year.

A nice selection of exhibits rotate through this venue that is easy for families to visit since it has a local historical exhibit too.

The current exhibition, "Studio Made: Santa Cruz Woodworkers", is a fabulous collection of functional and decorative art. The craftsmanship is first rate, and the diversity of the pieces, styles, and techniques, is awesome. The Museum has done a great job. This exhibition runs through November 13, 2011.
