Matanzas Creek Winery If you are lucky enough to be at Matanzas Creek Winery in June, the lavender will be in full bloom. It is beautiful and the aroma is intoxicating. Staff here are extremely friendly and create a very relaxed atmosphere. Not snobbish at all. It was our favorite winery we visited. more

One of the more relaxed wineries we visited during our Napa/Sonoma vacation. Not only does Matanzas Creek produce great wines, they also grow lavender in the front of the property. The shop is filled with both lavender and wine related items. The free tour is recommended; Ira is quite a personality. The tasting fee of $5 is reasonable, especially considering... more
