The wine list is alright. The price is ok- $10 for 8 wines to sample. The place doesn't boast of ambiance but the staff are helpful and friendly. Also their dessert wine is superb!!! If you are not there for wine wine tasting, you will find other things to do like enjoy the danish breads and pastries in solvang or... More

Fun - nice to see a fellow Aussie trying some different grape varieties. Two lovely dogs to entertain our 7 year old who adored rubbing their tummies!

This review is based on tasting at their downtown Santa Barbara tasting room: Was this wine undrinkable? No. Would I buy a bottle after the tasting? No. Was it a fun tasting room with nice staff and good music? Yes Overall, the white wines were the shining star, but still did not have the depth of flavor development that many... More

I've visited Kalyra several times & finally joined their wine thieves club. Most of their wines are "winners"! Give 'em a shot!

Discovered this winery in June, during a trip with girlfriends. This was our favorite winery we stopped at, and the only one where we all purchased a bottle. Came back in February with my boyfriend, and had great time once again. This winery is very laid back, with great staff. It has a more youthful vibe than other wineries we... More

Looks are deceiving! Not fancy on the outside, great fun on the inside. The young lady that served was great, no pour limiters on the bottles, the dessert wines were very good. My wife and I joined the wine club and plan to go to their special events throughout the year. We ended buying a case of red and whites... More

I'm not quite sure what journeysolo is talking about. Over the past few years I've done a lot of tasting and sampling of different wines from up and down California and from Australia as well. The unique, rich, earthy flavor of all of the Kalyra reds are the best I've ever had (I dont drink much white so I can't... More

If you like Australian wines, but not the price of a plane ticket to visit the Hunter Valley, Kalyra is right for you. I wouldn't make it your only stop, but it is a fun one. The vineyard is beautiful, and the folks who do the tastings make it fun. There are also a few dogs that roam the property... More

This winery is hip, crowded with young folks in the tasting room. But the wines are not good. I could be biased as my husband is Australian and we are spoiled by many of the wonderful Australian wines we have had. 3 out of the 7 wines we tasted were Australian wines and they were just flat out awful. For... More

This was the second stop for our group of 7, and was by far the most lively and relaxed atmosphere. There are two large wine bars, one of them a tiki bar. They also have a nice selection of gifts - candles, wine accessories, and cute clothes. They have some fun and unique artwork on the wall, as well as... More
