I don't have kids, but if you DO, this is The Place. Fun for them, hands on experiences, and a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. Don't miss the incredible sculpture made of willow.

This was our first visit to San Francisco with our daughter who is two years old. After looking up reviews of things to do with a toddler in San Francisco I decided on this one and was SO glad that I did. My daughter loved this place, in fact it was probably one of my favorite things we did on... More

My daughter is 6 now, and we've been taking her to the Bay Area Discover Museum at least once every three months or so for the past 5 years. She just loves it. Very interactive; something for everyone.

Our son is just over 3 and loves to climb , jump and explore everything! This museum is great because they are allowed to touch everything! There is very few things off limits. Which is awesome because kids love to touch. There is a special area for 6 months- 3 year olds . The only thing I don't like is... More

This children's activity museum is set on a peninsula right under the Golden Gate Bridge. There are a number of old Army Camps about on the north shore of the GGB and this is a converted camp also. The old huts now house all sorts of different touchy feely things for little children to do. It is best suited to... More

We stopped here before starting out road trip back to Oregon to make sure the kids were good and tired. This place was amazing! The location in incredible and I love the use of the old army base buildings. The exhibits and variety of things for the kids to do was outstanding. So outstanding, in fact, that we had to... More

More or less underneath the Golden Gate bridge lies this gem for kids. My son, who is four years old loves it here and therefore so do I. Kids are allowed to touch everything here, learn how waves are created, learn about wind, play, climb, paint, interact and meet other kids. The views of the Golden Gate are spectacular -... More

We spent a few hours with the grandkids, aged 2 and almost 5. They both had a great time, especially on the outside play area. Lots of things to do and great places to let the imagination run wild.
