nice. The featured photo, however, is Trinidad State beach, four miles north of Moonstone.

Moonstone is located near Trinidad and has easy access. We spent the day here w/our dog, fling a kite, exploring and enjoying the incredible scenery. The Moonstone Grill in located on a bluff near the beach. Excellent place to have cocktails while watching the sunset!

It so easy to get to that it's very crowded for a Humbodlt county beach. In the summer on a hot day, you might have trouble finding a parking place. Other than that, it's one of our favorites. We've kayaked Little River here, boogie boarded (with wetsuits, it's cold), climbed rocks, picnicked, run the dogs and just hung out.

Great for sunrise and sunset! Wonderful beach walk - fun to watch surfers, birds and weather.
