Not worth the effort when you can access much better terrain driving another 45 min.

We visited boreal several of the days we spent in Tahoe. While I am an decent boarder and my son can ski most moderate terrain my girlfriend is a early beginner. Boreal offered something for all of us. My son tried a boarding lessonthen spent the other days on the mini terrain park. I spent a lot of time with... More

If you don't want to travel all the way to Lake Tahoe and spend hundreds of dollars to go snowboarding or skiing, then Boreal is the place to go. The place is easy access on and off Interstate 80 and has a lot of parking if you get there early. The whole experience for my neices, nephew and sons was... More

We went to Boreal yesterday. It's the first time we have been to this hill. I'm an advanced skier so typically a hill like this wouldn't really appeal to me as it's mostly beginner or intermediate but I had never been snowboarding before and neither has my wife so we thought it would be a perfect place to learn. I... More

From the minute you enter the parking lot you realize there is limited or no crowd control. 20 year olds in the parking lot smoking pot and cigarettes, glaring at other 20 year olds, etc. It just doesn't have a very safe, family friendly feeling. The chair lift operators had no control over the boarders and allowed them to take... More

There's little snow at the moment so, for "park" people, Boreal must be one of the best (and closest) value parks

Let me start of by saying I'm an intermediate skier and was looking to try snowboarding. Boreal has this program called 1-2-3 Ski. It is the BEST deal ever! You pay $70 for your 1st lesson with equipment and only $30 each for lesson 2 and 3 (with equipment). This equals $130, right? Guess what, upon graduation you receive a... More

I was travelling in CA with my son, it was about one week prior to all the big ski resorts openeing but I really wanted to get him started. Boreal was the only ski reort open in the Tahoe region, a whole week prior to everyone else. It was easy to get there as it's just off the i80, there... More

There is crowded and messy ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Poor customer service. I ask you do not go that place if you wear small size shoes like me. I wear size 5 or 4. These shoes only has one adjustable positions on the heel that make you uncomfortable and no support. I have visited several ski resort, Boreal ski... More
