I have stayed here in the summer, when it was louder and generally more lively. In November it takes on a frosty air with radiators humming and a fire in the main lodge. Dinner was wonderful. We recently dropped into the Wawona to consider lunch and literally had a front-row seat to a management meltdown, before we turned around and left. As we relaxed on the wonderful front wraparound veranda - or should we say, tried to relax - the general manager and food and beverage manager (according to their name tags) had a verbal fight... We ate here twice, and the food was very good, the staff were excellent and Tom, ( he has been playing at the Wawona hotel for 27 years) on the piano was just awesome with his playing, singing, and interesting stories. If I ever get back to Yosemite I will definitely stay at the Wawona.

Very clean. Staff are super! Food is excellent. Historic place....lots to learn. What a great place to stay. I would stay again in a heartbeat. We upgraded our room to have our own bathroom. It was well worth it.
