We visited the Royal Gorge about 15 years ago. It was nice then and we wanted to go back with our kids. What happened to this place?!? It cost our family of 4, $92.00 to get in. We really only wanted to walk across the bridge and didn't want to do the other things. I don't know what happened but... more

Years ago this was a beautiful attraction, now it is a tourist trap. We did not spend the $24 a person and instead, went to the overlook and viewed the natural beauty for free. more

The views are spectacular. I remember this as a little kid and it was nothing back then other than the bridge and maybe the tram. It has grown into a mini theme park and would be a good choice for entertaining a family for half a day. Yes, there are all the cheesy gift shops but that is not why... more

I recently visited the Royal Gorge bridge and the attractions in the park. Not as exciting as I thought it would be. The incline railway was a disapointment as well as the gondolla ride across the canyon. I thought it would be scarier than it was. If your looking for a rush you probally won't find it riding the above... more

About an hour from Colorado Springs, my trip to the Royal Gorge bridge was a big disappointment. When I arrived after driving on a road that was unpassable at times, I learned that it costs $24.95 to enter the park and cross the bridge. I did not pay the entry fee because I could not see how that fee could... more

Royal Gorge is an amazing, deep gorge cut by the Arkansas River. It is in an area accessible from Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo, Colorado. The area was developed as an attraction in 1929 when a suspension bridge was built over the gorge. Now there is also a aerial tram that crosses the gorge, an incline rail that goes into... more

We went early, before it was busy and took our time walking across the Bridge for great views. Be sure to continue up to your left once you cross the bridge. There is a small old western town up there, with graveyard, blacksmiths, jail etc. which is well worth exploring. We also took the train down to the floor of... more

Here is one tip. You can pay the entry fee which is high; however, if you are out within an hour you get a refund. For two adults and a child it was $61 using available $2 off coupons for each ticket. We received a refund of $14 when we left at the hour making our total cost $47 for... more

This was my favorite part of our trip to Colorado. The bridge is always breathtaking. We saw rafters and the royal gorge route railroad train at the bottom. Take the time to wait in line for the incline railway and go down to the bottom. I am deathly afraid of heights and had no problem with it. We really enjoyed... more

The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park is an interesting attraction. It is an artificial attraction wrapped around a natural one. The bridge is the highest suspension bridge in the world, and provides some amazing views of the Royal Gorge and the Arkansas River, which runs 1,000+ feet below the bridge. There is quite a bit to do. The park features... more
