I found this little gem on the internet, when I was looking for things to do after the National Z scale convention in Denver this year. It was stated that this would be it's last season of operation. I am greatly saddened by that fact. This little gem should be left where it is. The day that my friend and... More

Riding a narrow gauge railroad through a beautiful area is not something one gets to do every day. It's definitely worth the time and money! The food service is sometimes good, sometimes not.

The Royal Gorge Scenic Railway is an absolute must if you have kids, or are a kid at heart. This is sadly its last season. The ride is fun, and the final destination and view of the Royal Gorge Bridge and Arkansas River from above is fantastic! It has real trestles, and is an amazing miniature railroad with full working... More

The RGSRR, is a wonderful way to send a few hours. After you visit, Royal Gorge, make the short drive into town & take this wonderful slow paced ride through the Gorge. You will be able to sit in an enclosed railcar, or walk about on an open decked car , to observe the Gorge from the bottom up. If... More

We took the dining train. The food was good. The scenery is awesome. Eat on the way out and sightsee on the way back. It's really amazing to be at the bottom of the gorge and look up when you go under the bridge. Any of their trips are worth the price.

This was such a simple, but wholly enjoyable pleasure. An open-air experience that takes you to the edge of the gorge, with a view of the park from a distance. Personally, I would have preferred to hike the three mile trek, and to take pictures of the high-desert foliage and wildlife. . . but to a train-crazy 5-year old boy,... More

This is not your typical train ride, the small scale train gives you a great 360 degree view. The people were nice and the train was in great condition giving a smooth ride. The viewing platform was right on the gorge rim and just down from the bridge. You are not going to find much in the area that gives you... More

My friends and I had a blast on the train ride. The driver was really nice and made the ride fun. We took a bunch of pictures and the views were awesome. We saw a deer and fawn on the ride that was too cool! This was a nice little ride to pass an hour while we waited for our... More

The train was once fun coupled with the now extinct Buckskin Joe. The train is a kiddie train that goes through an uneventful, dry, dusty road to an observation deck that views the Royal Gorge Bridge. At over $10 per person and no handicap accessibility this is touted as family fun but just does not deliver. Pay a few extra... More
