Keep in mind this is not a high end, big budget affair. But for the size of the town, they have done a great job with this museum. It's all underground and a great way to stay cool if it gets hot.

We were enthralled by the little town of Creede! Amazing area to experience. We took the mining museum tour -- the hostess was a charmer! We got the tape-guided tour and it worked like magic! The tour is excellent and lets the tourists see what it was like to be a miner...down to the 'honey pot' and explosives! Very carefully...

a fascinating museum-a fantastic guide- a highlight of our Colorado vacation- well organized- educational- fun for children and parents- dads in particular two guided tours daily at 10:30 and 3:00 - come 15 minutes early- we almost missed the tour, but thanks to the gracious and helpful staff we were able to go for an unforgettable hour tour
Wonderful drive around Bachelors' Loop near Creede takes you from one miner's site to another. History stands still as you look at the ruins left by miners decades ago. Many steep inclines and declines require a automobile in good condition. Although ruins are private property, views from the car are well worth the drive.
I did the audio tour. Found it long and boring. Would rather of spent the money on something else
We did the tour a few years ago - the thing that stands out in my memory is the tour guide who was an experienced hard rock miner and gave us insights into what it was like to go into a mine day in and day out. The work was hard, dangerous, repetitive, and not something I could ever imagine...
