A beautiful building with a great history. The are guided and self-guided tours. The marble in the building is a high point of any visit. The gold plated dome is being replated as well as some structural upgrades in ohter areas. A visit may need to be put on hold for a while.

We went before they started renovations. The capital is a great piece of Colorado history. It is fairly open which is a good thing. The people's house should be accessible.

The building is absolutely majestic. They were repairing the gold dome when we visited, so the dome was closed, but touring the rest of the building was wonderful. You can tour on your own with a small, free brochure or take an hourly tour with a guide. We chose the guide. Unfortunately, she was a young student who made lots... More

An interesting place to drop by if you're in the neighborhood. An ornate state capitol, fun to see and go inside. has afew great murals inside by local artists. You'll be inthe neighborhood of alot of other attractions so you may want to swing by and take a peek and then you can cross it off your bucket list.

They were doing quite a few renovations in the building that some areas are inaccessible to the public. Some paintings were moved like the Presidents Portraits were moved out along one of the hallway exits- you may not even find some of them on the display. Perhaps they will be finished mid summer.

Historic, unique and reflective of Colorado's natural resources, past and present, and of Colorado's culture, multi-enthnic. More than a political and office site, the capitol is chock-full of history and historic art. Scintillating for the culture-seeker!

I made it my goal to see every capitol building in the country and this was the fourth one. There was a manifestation going on which made it even more interesting.

I almost didn't go in, it's pretty standard looking on the outside. I am very glad I did, the interior is just beautiful! Golden brass and marble everywhere, one called Rose Onyx which is the only place is the world you can see it. It's like a palace.

It was raining so I stayed in the car, looks like what you would expect a Capitol building to look like. A stone face building with lots of steps and a dome shaped cap. There were remnants of 'occupy Denver' ppl outside
