We spent our last day in Colorado driving up the Mt Evans Scenic Byway. It was a great way to finish our vacation. I agree with others that it's right there with Pikes Peak, if not better. Everyone talks about Pikes Peak and the road to the top. I agree, it is quite an adventure, but it is not the tallest peak you can drive to the top of in Colorado. It is Mt. Evans. And what a beautiful trip it is. You can approach from Idaho Springs or from Evergreen. Either way is a fantastic drive.... more
