The South Platte River runs through Denver - for much of its length skirted on one or both sides by Interstate 25, other roads, and railways. The bike-jogging-walking trail running along lengthy (~30 miles) portions of it. Get your friends and family on the move. Great energy on the bike path. Enjoy the great trail and the people watching. Go to the river and watch the follies in the river.

Starting at 104th or 120th Streets in Thornton, a few miles north of Denver, just east of I-25 (maps of the trail and tangential systems are available on line), you ride/skate/walk along the river for a few miles until you reach a fork. South on the Greenway takes you to downtown Denver, past the oldest cemetary in the city. West... More
