This 1.5 mile loop has gentle rolling hills, trees and great people watching. The park has a playground, picnic areas and lots of green space for dogs to run off leash. An all around wonderful small city park that backs up to the Denver Botanical Gardens.

Cheesman is my favorite park in Denver. It's great for a quick picnic during the lunch hour or for a walk with a view of the mountains in the distance.

Just go for a picnic and take a walk around. It is quite lovely. Perfect place to "rest in peace." ;-)

If you're familiar with Denver's origins, then this park will fascinate you. If you aren't familiar - get familiar! Otherwise this park will seem like any old park to you. Lovely, but not unique. Do your homework, and then, by all means, pack a lunch and pay a visit.

i basically just run around it when in denver for work. it is a GREAT place for adjoining properties, in that residents know that there should never be a skyscraper/mall/office tower next door. also adjoins the botanical gardens

Any time of year, Cheesman Park is a lovely low key park in central Denver in which to stroll, walk your dog, and catch a view of the mountains in the distance...A special feature is Cheesman Park Pavillion, a faux-roman columned portico which attracts tango dancers on special nights in summer. Colorado has a lively argentine tango community, with many... More

Dangerous at dusk. Don't even think of walking there alone...

Nice place to walk, with some lovely historic homes on the edge that's not sky-scrapered up.

Cheesman Park is awesome if you include the past of the park. It makes for a great story and day. Lots of space not really a playground park so if you bring little kids, bring something to do like a frisbee or kite.
