BIG mountains with BIG trees and clear waters. The pine trees smell soo good! And there's LOTS of birds, flowers, and animals.

We were fortunate to have personal tour guides in this national treasure since we have family that lives in Durango. The San Juan National forest is just beautiful. We made our way up to the Molas Pass Summit, clocking in at 10,910 feet. The views are breathtaking, you get some awesome photo ops, and the signs at the top of...

This drive through the San Juan Forest was amazing. Although it was summer, we experienced rain, sunshine, and quite chilly weather along the way. And as the weather turned, so did the play of light on the mountains, trees and rivers.

The USFS has done a great job of managing this gorgeous area which encompasses hundreds of thousands of acres of the Weminuche Wilderness. No mechanized traffic but get trails and horse-lovers paradise

The San Juan National Forest has incredible views of huge pine trees and beautiful mountains. Whichever part of the forest you go to, you'll enjoy all the views!

The scenery driving through the San Juan National Forest were so vivid and eye popping. You could never take enough photographs to show exactly how beautiful it really is...you have to see it for yourself!!!
