If dirty rooms, rude staff, broken equipment, and over pricing is your cup of tea then Durango mountain resort is for you. On our recent trip there we experienced all the above. more

My husband and I stayed at the Durango Mountain Resort in September 2009 and our first impression upon driving up was the that building and surrounding area was beautiful but that's where the beauty ended. We checked in and got directions to the parking garage near where our unit was. The directions were very confusing and we had to go... more

We usually spend most of our summer vacations in Pagosa Springs each year. This year we decided on our second trip to visit Durango Mountain Resort because of the bike experience our friends had while we were in Pagosa Springs. The accomodations are average, the views of the mountains are outstanding and the biking is a fun day of adventure... more

What is a Ski Bike? Only the most fun you can have in the snow! I am a non-skier but I found skibiking while at Angel Fire a few years ago and what a simple fun way to enjoy the mountain while keeping up with my kids on the greens and the blues while they learn to ski and snowboard.... more

Our recent stay at the New Purg Lodge at Durango Mountain Resort was fantastic. After many stays in the past elsewhere on the property, the new facility was a dramatic improvement on every level. The Room was very comfortable yet upscale with tasteful decor, stainless kitchen appliances, Large Flat Screen TVs and lots more! The Pool/Spa area was also a... more

If your going to DMR and hoping to spend some time in the terrain park, dont get your hopes up. DMR is consistently the last mountain to open their park and then closes it most of the season. If its trying to avoid beginers like its an obstacle course your looking for your in luck more

We stayed at the Durango Mountain Resort for a summer family vacation. We loved Durango, but didn't care for our accommodations. On the plus side, the view from our room was incredible, and the resort had lots of fun, outdoor activities to keep us busy. However, our first impression of the suite came when we walked in and there was... more

About two weeks ago I was the best man at a wedding held at Dante's on Purgatory's back-side. It was supremely beautiful; the setting was idyllic. All of DMR's staff was extremely hospitable, and the food at the reception was delicious (they even lent us champagne flutes from the base area after we had forgotten ours). After the reception, we... more

This place is pricey and was more like a cheap motel than a resort. The flyer they give you upon check in says they do daily maid service and they do NOT. We noticed the cleaning lady in a room next door so we thought they would clean ours right away. They were in the other room ALL day and... more

Our family (husband, myself and 2 teenage daughters) visited the resort in July 2005. We booked a room in advance for Cascade Village. We had a 1 bedroom loft. We entered a stifling hot, smelly room with the curtains hanging off the rod. Our first impression was not good. We went to turn on the A/C and discovered there wasn't... more
