The lady running the joint was super-accommodating, leaving her lunch behind to wet our wistles. I liked their stuff. The actual vineyard is in Cortez.

Ehren7, Thank you so much for stopping in to the Tasting Room in Durango, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the 2010 Chardonnay despite the fact that you stated your preference as a red wine drinker. We are most pleased that you enjoyed our wine and you are among many Sutcliffe converts that have stopped through to taste... More

while staying at Dunton hot springs(see my review), we visted the winery for a day trip. John, the owner is a jolly chap who enjoys what he does and he should be proud: every wine we drank was a wow. We left with a case and joined the wine society. When you have a great product and you are drinking... More

The tasting room itself is pretty small but we did get to taste quite a few wines. Unfortunately, I like the sweet, white wines, which they... More

Stopped by the tasting room to try the local vino. You can sit and sample three of the wines to taste the variety that Sutcliffe has been able to produce here in Colorado. Then you can open a bottle, sit on their patio and watch the crowds pass. Tough life in Durango. The grenache is my favorite.

They offer exceptional wines at very reasonable prices. They are my favorite wines to purchase and to give as a gift

Four of us recently enjoyed almost an hour of delightful wine tasting at the Sutcliffe Vineyards Tasting Room in dowtown Durango, and left with several purchases. Anyone who is fond of excellent wines will be very impressed with the selection offered. And, I should add that the room itself is beautiful with a fun selection of numerous other gift items....
