It does get very crowded, and it definitely has more of a "pool" feel than a "hot springs" feel but it is still worthwhile to experience it if you are in Glenwood Springs. Definitely go right when they first open in the morning and you will have the pool largely to yourself (and the locals) for about an hour or... more

I grew up visiting the Glenwood Springs Hot-Springs Pool (now called "Spa of the Rockies") and it's still one of my favourite places in the world. This is not your neighourhood lap pool and is not on par with your motel's tiny, stagnant, chlorinated pool,- this is an experience unto itself; the enormous geothermally heated "cold pool" is 2 city... more

This is just a tip -- so you don't make the same mistake we made. We arrived in Glenwood Springs planning to go to the Hot Springs Pool that day. It was closed the entire day for maintenance (i.e. draining and cleaning). Before you go, check the web site -- www.hotspringspool.com, "Dates and Times" to make sure the pool will... more

I travelled to Glenwood Springs to take the waters upon the advice of my doctor. The hot sulfuric water was just what I needed to purge my body of toxins and pain that have been plaguing me for several years. I felt refreshed each day and my wife enjoyed the waters also. If I lived in the area, I would... more

Just a word of warning; we planned a 4 day weekend in Glenwood and were shocked to find that the Hot Springs Pool would have been over $60 for a family of four! (2 Kids under 12) We thought maybe we would just wait until after 6 PM and just go for a few hrs. but it still would have... more

If you have kids, then go. No kids, then maybe. I personally like the vapor caves a little bit more as I do not have kids. We enjoy our time in hot water yes, but if no kids, you may want to keep moving. I would still recommend a one time visit at least. maybe it is your thing to... more

We went to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool on a hot Tuesday afternoon, after enjoying the morning white water rafting. The pool area was extremely crowded - not a chair to be had to place our things or to sit to relax. Admission to just use the pool - no slide - no spa - no food, was $16.95 per... more

My husband and I , along with our 9 year old twins drove from Breckenridge to Glenwood Springs to see the famous hot springs. We were very disappointed when we arrived only to find that the hot springs was turned into the town pool. Imagine an olympic size pool only a little bigger with a slide. The worst of it... more

After going to indian hot springs, this is definitely an upgrade. My wife and I took grandma and our 21 month old and we all enjoyed ourselves. I found the place quite clean and spacious. There was a lot of room to swim around. This is a great place for a family, but if I wanted a romantic weekend, this... more

I've stayed at the Hot Springs Lodge before and always enjoy it. We travel a lot and usually stop here for a day or two. I enjoy the lodge as it is reasonably priced and the rooms are very clean. We always swim in the pool and soak in the hot mineral water. If you've never been around sulfur smell... more
