If your in GS you have to hike up the see Hanging Lake. It's 1.5 miles up and I mean up. Theres warnings at the bottom of the trail advising that it's a strenous hike and to take food and water. There not lying about that and yes I though 1.5miles up big deal and went up with nothing but... more

The hike to Hanging Lake takes about an hour and is definately a work out, but it is well worth the effort. Fortunately there are several places along the trail where you can stop and take a breather. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with bad knees though because the beginning and end sections of the trail are very rocky.... more
