This trail goes straight up, take some water. Well worth the climb as the views and the lake are beautiful.

Rocky and steep but the stream along the trail made it a beautiful hike. There were several places along the way to catch your breath.

Only access is from eastbound i70 and then to westbound i70, no access if you are traveling westbound and want to stop. You have to go to glenwood the turn around.

If you plan to hike to Hanging Lake during the summer I suggest you reach the parking lot by 7:00 AM at the latest.
