I am a CO native and have made many trips to Heritage Square. My most recent visit was last weekend. I think this place is a great family-oriented attraction, but it is by no means an absolute must-see. A third-rate amusement park, but worth a stroll if you've got the time. Little kids might enjoy the tiny petting zoo and tiny amusement rides. Older kids will like the alpine slide, bungee jump, water slide, and bumper boats. There are also two smallish mini-golf courses. My first trip to Golden, Heritage Square was with a bus of Sr. Citizens (I am not there yet) The tour guide made the arrangements. We went to the dinner theatre and play. The food was wonderful. We visited Heritage Square in Golden Colorado. This half rides, half shopping park is a recreation of Denver's old buildings. On the shopping part there were many odd and different things. It also houses a music hall where musicals are played on the weekends. We ate dinner at Notz Landing. A 50's style food joint with great food and tunes.... more
