We drove to the ski area. It was closed but we want to go back during ski season. We understand that you want to ski on days when the winds are not too strong.
The title says it all..it is 30 min from Boulder..that is the best to say about it. It is generally cold and windy up there..very windy in comparison with I-70 resorts. The kids programs are ok and reasonable. Customer service is not existent. Also: be careful if you go up there on a busy day. Occasionally they shut the resort... More
Friendly and patient staff with instructors the kids enjoyed. Lifts kept moving and were able to get in runs continuously.
We visited Eldora the last week of March (spring break). I called the day before to enroll my daughter and although they recommend calling 48 hours in advance, they were able to take her. She has a few ski lessons and ice skates "ok" but wanted to try snowboarding while we were visiting Colorado. I didn't want to make the... More
Our family has been to Eldora several times. We absolutely love it. We have skied in many locations, but this is our favorite because it is so family friendly and a great place for beginner and intermediate skiers. It's pricing is very reasonable and it's staff is super. I once broke my hip here and can personally attest to the... More
Eldora is a very nice site. The ski school for children is outstanding. I can't see it being any better. The guides take your child from 930 till 1500 and shower them with attention. If it works out - buying a six pack of lessons makes it cheaper (only works if more than one child is skiing). Elaina , Adir... More
I was so pleased with the nordic center! I chose to stick to the beginner trails because it was my first day at altitude. The main trail to get to everything else (17th Avenue) was a challenging, 20 minute trek uphill for me (classic skier) and a blast coming back. The trails were perfectly groomed (with set track as well)... More
This is my second trip to Eldora in last 2 years and it was just like last year. It is an easy drive from Boulder and the resort is fairly small. The parking is top notch and right next to the slopes. This mountain is mostly made for the beginner to average skier, but the best thing is the crowds.... More
Eldora is not one of the mega ski resorts, but has 2 lifts, an alpine course for cross country and is great for the family for skiing. The BEST part of this ski resort is one of the instructors "DOC" for the kids. He goes over and above, devotes more time than he is supposed and is all in for... More
It has been 30 years since my wife and I have skied. We agreed to take the kids over Christmas break. We wanted a great beginner resort and feel like we found it in Eldora. The resort was extremely affordable as we bought lift passes for less than half price from Costco in Westminster. (a tip from Eldora customer service... More
