whether in summer/winter this is a beautiful area. Trees and wildlife alike, and so quiet. Lake Isabelle area is so gorgeous.
stayed for one night for my husbands birthday. the put us in a cabin knowing full and well there was a dead deer behind us that they were POURING BLEACH ON DAILY!! While visiting family in Cuchara, CO we hiked several trails here. Views are breathtaking! A definite change in scenery once in the forest... lovely!
This is another in a long line of completely breath-taking places we visited! We're kind of proud of a lot of Utah, But this place really gets to You in a deep way! I'd sure love to live up here!
The west side has a beautiful lake and you may even spot some bears wandering around. Drive northwest from here to Westcliffe and pass Bishop's Castle for an unsusual adventure and climb.
I came to CO to get away for awhile and just be alone with God. THIS was the place to be! It was so insanely quiet. Just the trees and I.
