I just returned from an 11 day ski trip which included Steamboat, Vail, and Breckenridge. I absolutely loved Vail-who wouldn't? I skied the bowls--SunBowl, Tea Cup Bowl, China Bowl, Mongolian Bowl. We spent Christmas week in Steamboat and all in all, I liked the area. We stayed across the street from Gondola Square at the Steamboat Grand and liked the convenience to the slopes. Even though I love the Wasatch Big Four- Alta/Snowbird- Brighton/Solitude for consistent snow quality and depth, I was surprised how good the snow was in Steamboat. I will definitely go back. My Husband and I along with another couple just came from Steamboat Ski Resort. The trip was fantastic. We stayed at the Rabbit Ears Motel in town. The place was nice, nothing fancy.
