I just returned from an 11 day ski trip which included Steamboat, Vail, and Breckenridge. I absolutely loved Vail-who wouldn't? I skied the bowls--SunBowl, Tea Cup Bowl, China Bowl, Mongolian Bowl. Too many people. Too many snowboards ruin the snow. TOOOOOO! expensive for what you get. Great snow when no one is in your way. more

We spent Christmas week in Steamboat and all in all, I liked the area. We stayed across the street from Gondola Square at the Steamboat Grand and liked the convenience to the slopes. Even though I love the Wasatch Big Four- Alta/Snowbird- Brighton/Solitude for consistent snow quality and depth, I was surprised how good the snow was in Steamboat. I will definitely go back.
