Even though I love the Wasatch Big Four- Alta/Snowbird- Brighton/Solitude for consistent snow quality and depth, I was surprised how good the snow was in Steamboat. I will definitely go back. The people were great, the town was great- laid back, friendly, not jaded. If you want a party atmosphere- go to Park City or Heavenly. If you want glitz,... more

I like to ski on packed powder and that's what I got 3:4 days in mid March. I really liked most of the trails (I only went up to a blue diamond). My husband snowboards and he was ok on all the trails except for one, right of way. I was on skis and hated that trail too. The locals... more

They served breakfast at 6 am so you could get right to the mountain. The woman who works at the front desk at night is very helpful... more

If you like steep icy trails or 10 foot wide catwalks, then Steamboat is for you. Steamboat is not a good place for snowboarding with all the narrow trails. Leave your camera behind, this mountain is ugly compared to the beauty of the summit county resorts. more

This is my first time at Steamboat springs, I've been skiing here 4 days, and I think that's enough. Like most ski resorts lately, it's obsessed with moguls, there are some nice steep blacks. There's a variety of terrain, but not enough to keep you occupied for weeks or anything, i find the green runs and how the ski trails... more
