I'm revewing the springs and not the lodging. There are three pools of varying temperature in a natural type environment (NOT indoors). The hottest is about 104, then 95, then 75-80ish. Although fairly crowded in the afternoon on Saturday when we visited, it was still a good way to relax after a hike. After dark it is clothing optional so... more

I grew up in Steamboat and have been to the Strawberry Park hot springs countless times. I am writing this review to counter the negative comments of others. If you want to see the natural beauty, come during the day. Then you will see that the hot springs aren't ruined by electric lamps and throughly modern facilities. That's part of... more

2 words: Don't go! First of all, what they don't tell you on the website, is there is no electricity on site. If you go at night, know that you won't be able to see any of the natural surroundings, let alone the person next to you. You'll be tripping over rocks and just trying not to get hurt. The... more

Booked the caboose 2 months in advance. Drove through a May snowstorm to get to Steamboat. Once there, I could not make it the last 2 miles due to unpaved, snow covered, super steep road. Called the Hot Springs and they gave me 4 suggestions to get there: 1. Hike in - It is unbelievably irresponsible to tell 2 people... more

My husband and I visitied the Hot Springs last week and it was absolutely awesome. Tucked in the mountains, but not far from town, this is a truly relaxing get-away for a couple hours. We used Sweet Pea tours to get there which was fine. . .bus was clean and it was $35 per adult roundtrip. Next time we go,... more

We went to the Hot Springs this last summer around the end of August and really enjoyed the Hot Springs. Just don't do what we did and forget to take out cash before heading up the mountain. But not to worry Steamboat Springs is so close enough in case you forget. They have large comfortable and modern changing rooms. A... more

OK. We had a good ol' time there. What a magical place. 6 of us went together. We took a shuttle from the ski area, which took about 15 minutes. The drive was pretty easy given all the snow recently. But the shuttle takes some of the stress away and $32 includes a towel, flashlight/glowstick, plastic bag, bottle water. If... more

This was just a short drive from the "main" street in Steamboat, it was well worth it. They have nice changing facilities on site and plenty of pools to choose from, depending on your temperature requests! Sunset is an especially nice time to go, we visited in the summer but want to make a return trip this February. Enjoy! more

Wow. I had never been to hot springs before but this blew my mind beyond all expectations. The road is not that bad, but I live in CO so may be biased - we took a 94 Honda Accord Ex up it, driving really slow towards the end, and made it just fine. This was in October, I am sure... more

The last two miles of the drive up the mountain were tough, but we were well rewarded with a dip in the hot springs. We went early (after sunset, it's clothing optional). Sitting in the mountains, watching the pine trees while soaking in natural springs was incredible and highly recommended. more
