“This museum should me on more maps. Ask for the director's tour we stumbled upon.”

I liked the directors tour. I learned much more than walking through the museum on my own.

The Mitchell Museum is a facinating place to spend an afternoon. The art by A.R. Mitchell is fabulous and the accompaning works by local artist is terrific. The A.R. Mitchell Museum is one of the most unique experiences for those that love Victorian towns and Western Art. "The Mitchell" is housed in the 1906 former Jaimeson Department Store that features the original tin ceilings, hardwood floors and a beautiful horse-shoe shaped mezzanine.
