Greenwich Ave has a true neighborhood feel to it. We discovered and old fire house that I never noticed before that was over 200 years old I seem to recall. I like to start at the top and work my way down.

Greenwich Avenue has so much to offer, there's really no need to go to a mall or anywhere else. Saks, Brooks Brothers, Apple, Urban Outfitters, Giggle, Jonathan Adler, you name it, it has it. Victoria's Secret huge store went out around Christmas, which isn't updated in all lists.

Park off the avenue and then stroll downtown to enjoy the arts, shops & restaurants. Most places close 6/7p so go earlier if you want to do more than just look.

If you have the money, and you like top name shops, come here. It is best to start at the southern most end, and walk up, then back down, when you are tired, and laden with packages, you will be walking downhill. There are trendy restaurants, cafes, pastry shops- notably, Jean Louie, Versailles, St. Moritz, Black Forest, Penang.

About a mile stretch on a long straight hill, mostly luxury stores but also some basics. You will find it all from Richards Clothing to Starbucks to Apple to Saks. And if you like people watching this is the place to do it. The new Pinkberry is also the new local hangout of the Greenwich High teens but the yogurt... More

This is a wonderful walking street if you want to explore out of a mall. Lovely shops, great restaurants, and you get some exercise to boot!

We are generally on the Ave every weekend. It has a number if great places to eat, shop and wander. Our kids always see friends here. The Secind Time Around consignment shop is a blast and we have relatives that insist on a return visit each time they come to town. We can find everything we need and run our... More

Greenwich Avenue is an like an outdoor mall with all the really expensive stores lining both sides. It's hard to explain, but remember to start at the top and go down as it's one big hill!
