I agree this place is a bit expensive, but for us the beautiful ice cool Beluga Whales alone made the trip and the entrance fee worthwhile. Just went last weekend. It's a great "little"aquarium, but the cost for my husband and I and our 4-year-old was a total of $66. Luckilly we bought our tickets at the information booth in Olde Mystic Village and saved 6 bucks, but still $60. And you really see everything in about 2-3 hours. more

The staff was very informative, animals fantastic...duing our visit in Winter - some animals scarce. But the staff did their best to be around to ask questions, explain displays, point out interesting facts. Well worth the visit if you are in the area!! Many reviewers seem to knock the aquarium due to price and its size, number of exhibits but we enjoy it and have been to many other, bigger aquariums (Camden, NJ and Monterey, CA). My Family had a great time at the aquarium, the attractions were very educational. A lot of hands on with several of the attractions. They enjoyed touching the rays and being able to hold sea stars. The penquins were the best (up close) and very playful near the glass...kids really liked the closeness. Great day out with the family. more
