I drove longer than 1 hour to visit the aquarium...it was time and money well spent. Despite the whether, which was rainy, everything was great. It was a lifetime experience to see the Beluga whales up close. Never seen a typical Shark up close either until I visited the aquarium. I would definitely recommend the sea lion show and visiting... more

We had a great day here in September 2009, which we visited particularly to take part in the Beluga Encounter. The whole experience was simply wonderful - to actually be able to get in to the water and touch a beautiful beluga whale was an incredible thing to do. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the belugas, and... more

I wish it was a bit bigger, but it is a lovely place. We thought the dolphin we'd heard about (sorry, I forget poor thing's name) was still alive and were sad to find he'd passed away years ago. Lovely place...wish they'd have a little bit more, but space is tight in CT. more

We were going to wait until we were back from our holidays before writing a review for this place, but it's so bad that we just had to write it now to save people wasting their time and money. This is NOT a "world class" attraction or aquarium, as stated . It is the poorest aquarium we've ever been to... more

I went to the Mystic Aquarium for Labor Day weekend. I purchased the Mystic seapass with consists of tickets for the aquarium, seaport, a t-shirt, and 2 free small sodas at each establishment. That ticket is $52.00. You are better getting that ticket than individually. You definitely save buy getting the seapass one. The only thing is that the aquarium... more

Went to the Mystic Aquarium this past weekend with my husband and three year old son. Bought the Mystic Seapasses online but still had to stand in line at the Aquarium to get additional tickets. Even though we had the Seapasses in hand (we had redeemed the online tix for the seapasses at the seaport) they weren't good enough and... more

Mystic "Sea Everything" Pass the best value. Plan on 3/4 - full day visit. Half inside, half outside aquarium. Beluga whales are star attraction. Feed the rays ($2.00). Feed the parakeets ($3.00). Cafe is well priced and offers a good variety . Something for all family members of all ages. more

We were disappointed in the size of the institute- it resembles a small zoo rather than an aquarium. The exhibits aren't especially noteworthy and the sea lion show was mediocre at best. The cost is rather high for what you see there. The gift shop was typically touristy with high prices for average goods. I can think of other attractions... more

While visting the Mystic area with my wife and friends we decided to go to the aquarium. We found out that the few attractions that they have are very spread-out over a big area which requires a lot walking. Definitely not a lot to see and if you pay extra you get to go in the Outback birds aviary, which... more
