Harkness is lovely any time of the year. My favorite is the spring when the daffodils are in full bloom. It is a magnificent sight. Summer picnics are most often made more pleasant by the sea breezes and kite flying is a pleasant pastime. Take the 'mansion' tour and step back into another elegant era.

This park is so lovely and relaxing. It has a large expanse of lawn, picnic tables for your use and even a little area to walk along the beach. It has great views and wonderful places to walk and explore after your picnic.The gardens are beautiful as well as the whole property.If you go during the week it will be quiet and you can have most of the Park to yourselves-this is during April,May and June before school vacations... Great for a waterfront stroll. The exterior of the house is interesting, the interior is apparently used for events. We like to picnic here on a nice fall afternoon.

Nice shaded lawn with picnic tables, grills and restrooms. Mansion tours are great but only duing summer months. Rocky beach and no life guards. Check website.
