Cape Henlopen State Park is a great camping location. The campgrounds are nice, offering sites with plenty of sun or shade. These sites also include water and fire pits. We have fallen in love with the beach at this State Park! Our second trip over Labor Day Weekend. As expected the crowds were large and yet we were never crowded on the beach. The beaches are clean and HUGE! We find the south beach to be less crowded (it is an unguarded beach though). Ample parking. $8US for out-of-state.... more

Bike rides to the beach or walk the loop was a1 the only thing that could be improved on is electricty on the lots. We camped at Salisbury Beach in MA and Lake George in NY. Cape Helopen is best by far. more
