Interesting court house from the colonial times which went through a period of other uses, but now has been renovated into a museum to show the court and legal system of colonial times. It is free and is worth a stop while in New Castle. It is on the Green in the center of town with ample free street parking... More

We take our cub scouts there every year. The kids and parents are always interested and engaged. The guides do a great job!

Having gone to school closeby, I've been to the Old Court House before. Yet, as you step into the building with the old hard wood floors and crafted desks, you step back into time. We were there to see an exhibit tied to slavery and black history. This court house actually hosted trials tied to great abolishionists such as Thomas... More

This is truly a sad spectacle of a state, and these attractions if you would like to call them that are worse. The two (2) other reviews rating this attraction as excellent must have something to gain by rating this the way they did.....Trust me and find another state to visit.

When we arrived at the New Castle Courthouse, it was raining cats and dogs. We literally had the place to ourselves except for the tour guides. The building is lovely and the tour guides are very interesting. Everything in the courthouse has been renovated to the time period when Delaware signed the Declaration of Independence. Weather permitting, walk around this... More

New Castle Delaware is in close proximity to will the Wilmington Delaware. It appears to have been founded by William Penn.
