We stayed for two nights at the Delaware Seashore State Park campground in a tent and it was poor. There is zero shade, the sites are small, and there is no privacy. The bridge next to the campground is under construction, which makes it noisy. The beach was very nice, but I've stayed at Cape Henlopen State Park and it... more

The park campground is simply unlovely. It's an RV park 100 m from the highway. This time of the year, there were no bugs, and the amenities were fine. If you're tent camping, go to Cape Henlopen! more

Delaware Seashore State Park is a wonderful place to visit. We camp in an RV and it is the only Delaware State Park to offer full hook ups which is very helpful! The sites are pull through style and have a paved surface. The balance of the site is mostly sand and be warned that there is no shade whatsoever.... more

My husband and I tent camped here for one night. Although they do not allow campfires (which is a MAJOR downer, in our opinion), we liked this campground. It was quiet, I think the ranger did a nice job of keeping the place managed. It was very clean, even the bathrooms and showers were quite nice. We did not find... more

This is the worse place to camp. I have only complaints because there really was nothing wonderful about this campground. We were camping in tents for the weekend. This place is so buggy and there is no shade so if you go, take your RV with AC and not a tent. It was terribly hot and the bathhouse water was... more

if you would enjoy camping in a 20'x40' sand lot with tents on 5' on each side of you and paying $34 a night for the privilege, then by all means go ahead. I didn't sleep well because you would hear: neighbors conversations, lights glaring in from cars driving thru camp area, US 1 traffic 200' away. Of course if... more

Admission (2007) is now $8 per car, but it is good all day and is good for the entire park (not just the beach). The best beach in Delaware by far! Gradual entry into the water (unlike Rehoboth or OC), large waves further out suitable for true surfing (not just belly boards). Extremely easy access from the parking lot to... more

As a native Marylander, I've had the pleasure of making many trips to the Atlantic beaches year after year. I've not only spent weeks at a time exploring the coast, but have a habit of making day trips to the beach since it's basically less than 3 hours away. Of all the beaches I've visited, I really have to say... more
