Okay, we hadn't been to Rehoboth Beach for two years but one evening in mid-September we drove in from where we were staying in Lewes to spend the evening at dinner and walking the boardwalk. We pulled into a parking space and were surprised to see no meters. Great, they pulled them for the season! Uh, no. Three hours later... more

Parking is extremely poor, so if you are coming for a day trip, you may want to think about a Jersey Shore or elsewhere which having parking lots. There are only metered spots, which are nearly always full. The boardwalk is small and nice, but many Jersey boardwalks like Wildwood or Ocean City are larger. The beach is also quite... more

I have been going to Rehoboth Beach since 1965. I am now 41 yrs. old. My kids are the 4th generation in our family to have their vacation there. the beach is beautiful and clean as is the boardwalk. The hotels are quite nice also. Rehoboth has become part of our family history. My children relive the stories they grew... more

Rehoboth beach is a quaint seaside village with many small boutique shops and an old-fashioned wooden boardwalk. Dolles famous salt water taffy and caramel corn is a prominent site along the boardwalk and it is certainly worth a try. The beach was nice, although a little rocky and quite crowded in July. Part of the beach is lit during the... more

I loved the boardwalk. Lots of families riding bikes, but best to do this early in the morning before it gets crowded. The beach was also crowded so you need to stake your claim first thing in the morning or you'll have to walk a ways to splash in the ocean. Lots of people leave their chairs and umbrella on... more

I have traveled to Rehoboth Beach, DE for over 25 years and believe this is a perfect vacation spot, particularly for families. It's clean, safe and very laid back. Rehoboth has become more popular over the years, therefore it has become more crowded. However, the best way to visit Rehoboth is to rent a beach house/cottage through a realtor--for example,... more

I've been to many beaches and this one is the worst! Date of Trip: Aug. 12th, 2006 Traffic was terrible and if that isn't enough, there were no places to park. When we did find a place (took 25 minutes) it was nearly 1/2 mile away from the beach. The beach was overcrowded, but was pleasant. I did like the... more

Make sure that you stay at a hotel that has the attractions that you want near it. Ex: boardwalk, giftstores, and arcades. Not all hotels have these features around them. more

This is the first time I have ever visited Rehoboth Beach. I went in the early part of June to try to avoid the crowds. Even so, the beach was filled with people. Most people sat on the beach because the water was freezing. Too much rain during the Spring kept the water from warming up. Still, I enjoyed basking... more
