Green Cay is for the entire family. The wildlife is intriguing. The walking area is very well laid out. Inside the building, the marine life is fasinating.

This was my second visit to the Green Cay wetlands preserve. My wife and I arrived there at 7 AM in the morning to experience the sunrise. At that time the wetlands were teeming with the birds and other creatures. One of the highlights was a group of nine baby alligators. Only about a foot long, they looked so harmless... More

The mile and the half mile boardwalk are great. I do them both more then once with my 8 year old son easy. Less crowded then Wackodahatchee as you have space to enjoy the walk with pods. Less birds to see then Wackodacatchee here you will not see them nesting as you would there. You will see most of the... More

While some nature centers in the area have admission charges, this one is free. Boardwalks over the wetlands stretch for miles. There is also an indoor educational center.

This is the newest Nature Center in Palm Beach County Florida. The parking lot was very large, and there were two police officers on bicycles riding through the lot, and they even stopped to talk to the guests arriving and to joke with some young children about whether they had decided to take any alligators home with them as they... The Green Cay reserve is a great place to go! With a walking trail uo the water you can see gators, different tipe of birds, ducks, turtles and even snakes! Very well conserved place, with educational signs and beautiful views! Definately a good option to take the kids, and it's free!

We checked out this place thanks to the good reviews on Tripadvisor, and were very impressed. This is a "manufactured' wetland that is used to purify municipal water for the Boynton Beach area, but you would never know it. It used to be a farm, but now it looks like it's been there forever. We saw a roseate spoonbill, anhingas,... More
