If you enjoy walking in a natural setting, Kreen Cay is one of 3 venues in or near Boynton Beach that are really worth visiting. It is peaceful and beautiful, and in the early morining or late afternoon there is a plethora of birds making it an oasis for bird watchers. And you can see the alligators sunning themselves. It... This is a safe and healthy way to get close to nature. The variety of birds is amazing as are the number of turtles. There are a few aligators but are quite diificult to see in this natural setting. Bring hat, siunscreen, binoculars, camera and your steadfast alertness.

It was once a mundane ugly Water Utility gray water catchment area, now it still serves that important purpose- but it is a stunning wetlands area with many native flora + fauna...bird watching galore!

I never get disappointed when visiting Green Cay Wetlands. I have gotten very good photos of the red-shouldered hawk, cooper's hawk, roseatte spoonbill, limpkin, american bittern, least bittern and even the northern harrier hawk in January and February 2012, who has been hanging out on a regular basis. I have also been seeing the bobcat which loads of nature photographers... More

I was looking for a great place to take phots of birds. My trip to Green Cay paid off in that I took 139 pictures of various birds along the wooden platform which runs throughout the expansive park. Don't think there is a better park in all of Palm Beach County. There is plenty of parking and no admission fee.... More

I love this area as you get to walk among the wetlands on a raised walkway which gives you a nice vantage point for viewing the wildlife below. Be sure and bring a camera!

That's about all you see here - birds - and depending on the season, maybe not too many. We brought some house guests here twice. We were somewhat disappointed both times.
