My family of four (two small kids) packed up the car and headed for Clearwater Beach from Orlando for a day of rest and relaxation. We certainly got what we wanted! The drive is a bit long and not very picturesque, but the ocean view makes up for all of that. Parking was not a problem for us. We got... more

My husband and I drove to Clearwater from Orlando for a day at the beach. It was rainy when we arrived but the rain cleared out after an hour and we had an awesome time, The pier came alive after dark, something for everyone crafts, handmade jewelry etc... People were nice, only comlaint was we wished we had known earlier... more

We spent hours driving to Clearwater, when we arrived there were drivers waiting incessantly to take someone's parking spot, holding up traffic behind them until they claim that spot. The beach was extremely crowded, not at all restful, there was no swimming allowed due to strong currents and red tide. Red tide causes infections in beach goers that get water... more

My family and I go to this beach all the time. We live a few minutes away. The beach has a fishing pier, childrens play ground, restaurants, concerts etc.... The beach is big enough to allow you to have space on the sand. The sand is clean and white. One of the best beaches I have ever been too. more

My 11 year old daughter had her first ocean experience here and I couldn't have chosen better. Soft white sand, clean, large, clear water, lots of shells, family-friendly. We had a ball, and aside from the swimming and shell-hunting perhaps the best part was sharing the beautiful sunset with her...she was in awe. more

My friend and i were here the last day in Feb 2008. There was quite a few people on the beach and the weather was very nice. The water was pretty chilly. The beach is nice and wide and cool at night. Standard beach. G Man more

My boyfriend and I stayed in Clearwater March 2007. We loved it's white sand and aqua color waters so much that we are going again this March. If you get a chance try to go on a charter to Egmont Key. It is absolutely breathtaking, the water is so clear you feel like you are actually in the Caribbean!! more

The best part of our trip was the Captain Memo cruise. Fun for the kids and beautiful views. The loading dock is on the bay and in walking distance of most hotels. The worst part was staying south of the pier. Big mistake. North of the pier, the beach is much larger, the sand is whiter, the water is clearer,... more

I grew up in Pinellas County -- of which Clearwater Beach is a part -- so I was excited about taking my daughter there for vacation. Unfortunately, none of the hoteliers in the area will mention that major construction is underway this summer. I am sure when it is completed, it will help this beach community transition into a first... more

We went this year for the 4th of July. We had a great time! There’s Great food at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill right on the beach. Also check out Kelly’s beach bar on the strip just north of the Hilton. Please be aware of the tourist traps out there like Kai Lani Sailing stay away from them they‘re predators . They... more
