This is one of my favorite stops in the Tampa / Clearwater area. It's not as busy as Clearwater, the sand is a little harder / coarser, but when your goal is to enjoy the beach and relax, it beats the chaos of Clearwater. Good facilities, chairs and umbrellas for rent, etc. Parking is by meter. Definitely will go back. more
Spent a couple hours here with two teen daughters before heading back to the west coast. Really nice beach, well maintained with decent facilities for clean up, trash and decent restrooms as well. Facility uses meters for parking and charges a dollar an hour, limit 5 hours, coin only. Dollar bill changers are provided, however they vend only dollar coins. more
This actually is one of my least favorite beach "areas" in the whole Gulf Coast areas. Sure, it is close to Clearwater Beach, by the way MUCH BETTER area, but when you are at the beach and really hungry after a day of sunbathing you really don't want to drive 2 miles to the "good" restaurants on Clearwater Beach Island.... more
If you go to the north side of the park, you can overlook the pass or waterway. It's beautiful and relaxing. One of the local tour boats stops here just at sunset so the passengers can see the sun setting. more
We were married here and thought that it was an absolutely beautiful place. The sand was so perfect and the ocean behind us was a pretty site. We even were able to see dolphins swimming along the shore. Its were great memories are made. We will return there for the rest of our lives. more
