My kids are 6 and 7 and I think this trip would be fun for a younger audience. They were looking forward to plastic pretend sword fighting and running around the ship and perhaps a pretend "walk the plank", but were disappointed when all they got to do was: squirt water guns, sit around a circle listening to a story,... more

We don't have children, but we always have a blast watching the kids dance and play. Adults - drink your heart out, plenty of beer and wine to go around. Included with the admission. We actually love this boat so much we got married on it. A public wedding costs only $50, plus the cost of guests. We always enjoy... more

Forget the people who say it's too expensive or not very good! You must go in the mindset that you're going on a "Pirate Cruise" this is not a romantic or educational thing, but a fun experience. The tickets we got were discounted because we went through the website and bought them in advance. We did the 2 hour sunset... more

We pre-booked to go on the sunset cruise on a Friday evening in early August. We were told to arrive an hour early which we did. In that hour we noticed the sky getting darker and storm clouds coming in. Naively I thought they wouldn't set off if they thought we would be at risk of being in the middle... more

I took my 5 year old son on the red pirate ship. It is so cool looking and he was excited. It is a bit expensive but does include free pop, beer, and wine, I think. For a charge, you can order other drinks and buy food. Now, it is not like you are in the midst of a pirate... more

My husband was apprehensive about this cruise but the kids (3yr girl, 8yr boy) were really excited. I bribed him by telling him they serve free beer! From the moment you board the ship, you begin to have fun. The kids have watergun fights and the parents get to shoot some water themselves, there is pirate face painting, treasure hunting,... more

We were planning a trip to Clearwater and sort of spontaneously decided about 2 weeks before our trip to get married while we were in town. I called a couple of the different cruise companies and we chose Captain Memo's, mostly based on the pirate theme. We were so glad we did! It was so relaxed and easy to do.... more

If you have little ones 5+ then you want to take a day and be a pirate. The Pirate Cruise is not stop fun for the kids. We take our oldest on this 5 years ago and came back when our youngest (now 7) could remember the cruise. Not much has changed in 5 years but we did have a... more

I had booked this after reading recommendations on Trip advisor. The boat was reasonable full with an even split of passengers with and without children. We were made to feel welcome straight away, and couldn't help getting carried away with events. Our 2 Children (ages 3 & 4) loved the pirate stories and the staff kept them entertained throughout the... more

Very over rated! The one thing I enjoyed was the sunset. They don't offer a good selection of drinks and the entertainment is more annoying than enjoyable. I would choos something else to do if I were to have the chance again. more
