Other reviewers are right. The pier itself is not a tourist destination but an enjoyable part of a visit to the area. Don't go there expecting your day to be full with just a visit to the pier. I was there for only the one day but got a bad sun burn on mt back(where I couldn't reach!) The rip tide was so strong where we were, we had to move! Be very careful of the rip tides! more

Unless you are there to fish--skip this. The pier is not really a hot spot of activity, but rather an old place in need of updating. The restrooms were terrible--avoid them at all cost.
