The Children's Museum opened just before the end of 2008. It is definitely not ready for prime time. We took our 4-year-old granddaughters and there was little for them to do or enjoy. There were some gears mounted on a wall - that occupied about 3 minutes. There were no interpreters or staff members. The exhibits were not well explained... more

We visited the museum during the week with our 15 month old daughter. There was only about 10 other people there - not crowded at all. My wife, friends and I were amazed at the depth and quality of this museum in Daytona Beach. I didn't expect this to be such a big place, but I learned otherwise. It's tucked at the end of a winding street off of Nova Rd. Anthony Quinn's artwork was being exhibited at this time. Very Nice Museum. People were nice, nice exhibits. The only thing I didn't like was that photography was not allowed. I would have loved to take photos of many things there. MOAS has updated its photography policy to allow visitors to take non-flash photography in all of our permanent galleries. The only restrictions apply to some traveling exhibitions.
