It is the second largest in the nation and the first largest in Florida; it’s Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse. Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse is a working light house with history. This lighthouse, completed in 1887 attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. When you tour the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse you tour more than just a... more

Aside from visiting the beach, this was one thing my friends and I agreed we wanted to see. We weren't disappointed. The Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse provided a remarkable 360 degree view of Daytona Beach at only $5.00 admission. The stairs up to the top of the lighthouse gave us quite a workout, but this was definitely a highlight... more

Our visit to the lighthouse was wonderful! The grounds are beautiful and it was interesting to be able to go inside the original homes of the lighthouse keepers and their assistants. There are 204 steps to climb with a resting point every 22 steps. Once you make it to the top the view is spectacular! It was a lot of... more

This was a great sight. It was incredible to be next to something so large. My husband and I went but did not go up inside. It was extremely hot the day that we went. But it was a beautiful sight to see. more

We think right much of our NC lighthouses but..... The Lighthouse Restoration Society that restored this property for the public enjoyment did a wonderful job. The site is worth the $5 adult admission. I hate heights but the 203 step climb to the top is worth it, the view is beautiful, the breeze is cool. If you're in the area,... more

The property and grounds are very well maintained. Once you reach the top of the lighthouse the views you will see make the climb worth it. It is amazing how far you can see and this was one of the best places we went in Florida. There are other buildings to walk through and a few old boats to look... more

We finally found the historic Ponce Inlet Lighthouse on our last visit to Daytona. It is at the very south tip of the peninsula and you have to make a few twists and turns after the main road goes to a two lane road and you think you are at the end of the road. It is well marked if... more

I visited this lighthouse in January of 2008. It was my first time ever being inside a lighthouse or even seeing one in person for that matter, so I was pretty excited. It is 175 feet tall and you can see all the way to Cape Canaveral on a clear day. The stair climbing is trecherous, but with over 200... more
