I really enjoy floating down this river. The float is about 4 hours of scenic, relaxing fun. You can bring drinks and food on the river as long as none of it is stored in disposable containers. There is also a state park that only costs $1 to get into and is very beautiful.

We went as guests with members of the Rainbow River Club, though it is open to the public for an admission/use fee. This was beautiful and had many wonderful attributes: the Lodge is where we played ping pong. They have a pool table, and have refreshments available. Everything was immaculate: the restrooms, everything. We went out on the trails, could... More

Go tubing...during the week...not on a holiday...or rent a kayak or canoe...it is beautiful and part of the Florida natural water systems...springs that rise up from the caverns...and travel miles and miles...nature at its best!

Excellent water quality, and one can easily canoe or kayak both up and downstream. A lot of wildlife along the undeveloped stretches; otters, wood ducks, limpkins, herons, ibis, and lots and lots of turtles (probably red-bellied cooters). Bring your own or rent. We were there just last week and while the water level was extremely low, it was fun. I... More

You can swim or take a walk or just stop and smell the flowers. There is a gift shop and place to eat. It costs only $2.00 to get in and you it has a great park.

I love the Rainbow River. Wonderful to spend the day. Wonderful to kayak. Seven miles of gorgeous river. If you want seclusion come during the winter months and you will be the only one on the river. This is one of Florida's unknown jewels. Tubing is popular on the weekends. The holiday weekends are crowded and a party!
