By using Riverwalk, you can get around to different downtown attractions without having to walk city sidewalks. It's nicely landscaped and has areas you can sit down, and some shade. Gives more of a garden feel to your walk. more

We visited Riverwalk around 8PM on a Saturday in May 2007. Most shops were closed/closing and there were a lot of thuggish people roaming about. A few restaurants were open on the dock's edge, but they were very noisy and going into disco mode for the evening. Not suitable for a quiet dinner. The worst part was paying the garage... more

We really enjoyed the shopping and ambiance of the Las Olas area. The Riverwalk area was a pleasant addition to this. We enjoyed an early evening stroll on the waterway and then we caught the water taxi. Finished off the night with dinner and a movie... and all in one location.
