This museum focuses on teaching its' patrons interesting facts about our universe through fully interactive games, puzzles, simulators, etc. The Museum encompasses two floors, the first floor dealing primarily with underwater and land animals, fish and plants. There are saltwater aquariums and cages with all sorts of animals from around the world. Located on the first floor is also a... more

Oh, you have got to be kidding. The reviewer who said this place was full of chaotic groups of kids on day trips was soooo on the mark. That alone, about ruined the entire excursion. We went out of our way, while visiting from Tennessee as it looked so nice in the brochures. I found parking easy enough, was in... more

My favorite part about this place is the IMAX. Such a great and unique way to view movies and educational films. The museum itself is fun and we always seem to spend hours there. Great choice for a raining day! more

My children absoloutely love this place! They loved all of the hands-on science exibits and the live animals! They really seemed to enjoy all of the wonders of science! Every time we visit Florida they beg to go there and another place called wannado city ( located in the sawgrass mall). My 10-year-old daugher says that they both should have... more

This review is for the IMAX theater only: Last night my husband and I went to watch StarTrek. After reserving tickets and paying $12 for parking, it cost $40 for the two of us to see the movie. When we sat down on our seats my husband suddenly jumped up realizing his seat was wet.... (I warn you this is... more

This museum is a good value for the money paid, but you should know that it's not huge - maybe allow 1 or 1.5 hours at most to go through the entire thing, provided you really browse and read everything and participate in all of the interactive demonstrations. We went on a Wed. and it was filled with children who,... more

This has been one of the highlights that made our trip rememberable. We loved the live animals on the first floor (alligators, sharks, morray eel, bats, etc...), the small childrens play area, the space rides (2 of them), airplanes exhibet, and so much more. There was an animal show behind the front desk that was fantastic! Of coarse we had... more

I have taken my 3 sons there most every year during our yearly visits. Where – The Museum is located in the Arts & Science District, across from Riverwalk's Esplanade Park and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Fort Lauderdale. It’s a quiet commercial area of town, seems pretty safe. Only saw one bum camping out near... more

The Museum of Discovery and Science and IMAX Theater is a fantastic place for the whole family. We first explored the first floor with all of the animals like bats, fish, alligators, and snakes. Then we went into the discovery center where littloe kids play in there own safe zone area. After we went into the IMAX Theater and saw... more

This is such an interesting place to go! It is an aquarium and a hands-on science museum in ONE! I went here while in FL on Spring Break on my 21st birthday (no joke)! We spent hours there and it was worth every penny! Whether you're 14 or 40 I bet you will love this place! more
