Visiting the Anne Kolb Nature Center was a highlight of my vacation in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami! There are some very nice nature trails here--free, believe it or not. Entrance to the museum is all of $1, and yes, you read that right. A boat tour is $5. Again, your eyes are not deceiving you! All in all, if you like this... more

My family (husband and two girls, ages 17 and 5) just spent Mother's Day morning at Anne Kolb Nature Center and West Lake Park. For $19 we rented two 2-person kayaks for an hour and bought a few snacks. We enjoyed canoeing the Red Trail. It was completely garbage free, and I loved seeing my 17 year old paddle the... more

The Anne Kolb Nature Center is a surprisingly peaceful spot right in the middle of urban Broward County. The 1500 acres are just enough to let you forget where you are.
