Loved walking around and seeing nature at its finest w/out having a fear of where I'm walking. Very clean, very interesting and a fun place to visit.
My friends and I went recently and it was so much fun! We saw a giant iguana, amazing spiders, gorgeous birds, jumping fish and more. The mangroves and winding trails are so relaxing and I found it both exciting and peaceful...what a wonderful combination. The staff was great and the equipment was in excellent shape. I can highly recommend this... More
I have visited the Anne Kolb Nature Centre on numerous occasions and have to say that I agree it is a very peaceful and quiet place. Quiet because it is devoid of any noticeabe life! I used to think that was because I visited at the wrong time of year but having just returned after a late summer visit, I... More
This park is very beautiful, and the boat ride is an exceptional value at $5. (Make sure you call ahead to make sure the boat is running that day, though!) It is a little small, so I'm not sure how much time you could spend there. The lookout tower is wonderful also.
This is a beautiful park that has so much to offer, while remaining tranquil and quiet. The Center itself is indoors and offers a wealth of information and exhibits in a soothing environment. The tower (which can be walked up via the winding staircases or via elevator) offers a spectacular view of Hollywood, FL, downtown FL and the Port. The... More
Every time I have been here (which is a few over the years), it's been very peaceful. They have a little museum, a tower you can climb and see for miles and nice wooden walkway you can spend an hour on walking one way and back. Pleasant is the best word i can use to describe it.
We went to a Tuesday and the kayaks were not available during the week. I asked what was an option to do. I was told by the very sweet lady at the visitor desk that the self guided tour was an option. The kids and I really wanted to be outside so we passed, a lot to the self guided... More
This nature center is a heaven for nature lovers only, you can rent canoes, kayaks or walk the beautiful trails, the observation tower is a must, lovely views and exhibitions halls. Not to crowded and it's free M-F, a minimal fee on weekends.
his place has educational rooms with real animals and art displayed throughout by local artists. There are places to picnic with beautiful scenic trails and views of Westlake. We took a tour on the boat for only 5 dollars. A great place to take the family.
