This park was beautiful. Natural scenery abounds and photo-ops are numerous. We were disappointed by the narrow beach here. During our visit we did not get to enjoy the water because we were unwilling to trudge through the seagrass. We enjoyed our picnic here, but would have been more satisfied had we been able to swim/snorkel.

We stayed for 2 nights. The pros: The campgound #10 was right on the beach as described and there is foliage between sites for privacy. Bathrooms and showers were maintained although the middle one is the best if you don't mind walking. You can snorkel out from shore and see small fish. We saw a loster as well. Great for... More

We stayed at Long Key with our 21' travel trailer. The sites are situated right along the beach. We were in campsite 17, and stayed for three nights. The rangers were helpful, friendly and full of information. The restrooms/shower building at our end of the campground was the oldest of the three, but was kept clean. There was wood to... More

I loved camping here right on the beach. The trails were great hiking and very interesting. A definite place to go back to .

If you're looking for a day at a State Park & don't care about the beaches, this is the place! We went on a windy day, when it would have been too chilly for beach time. We went for the hiking, and stayed for the canoeing! The walk through the mangroves was a nice easy stroll, with chances for wildlife... More

We camped in our travel trailer and were on site 17. The sites are very narrow and we could barely open the slide and use the awning. There was never a time when we could not hear the traffic on US1. The restrooms by our site were older but clean. The ones a little further down were much better. On... More

The bathrooms are clean with hot showers. Camp area is gated and ranger drives for security. There is electricity, water, bbq pit and picnic table in every site. Important things to remember: prepare the tent before it gets dark and put ALL inside (bugs love to sleep inside your shoes). It was our 1st camping experience and we are looking... More

We stopped to rent a kayak and spend an afternoon here. The price was great ($21.50 for a double kayak for 2 hrs) and we had a lovely afternoon! The water is shallow, but we still saw some great wildlife (rays and sharks!). The park rangers were friendly, the parking was ample, and the bathrooms were clean! We'd go back... More

We were lucky enough to find a cancellation as this park books up pretty fast. The camp spot was a typical RV park style slot with folks on either side of us but as real estate in the Florida Keys is invaluable it was hard to complain. The ocean was literally a skip and hop from our tent. I would... More

We rented two canoes which you can take out onto a lake that has several islands in it. You follow a designated route around the lake and between the islands. There are markers along the way that tell you about the plant and animal life. The trip takes about an hour and a half. You can go at your own... More
