It is not a very big museum, and it only took us about 40 minutes to go through. The acting presentation at the start, which takes about 10 minutes, begins outside and takes you into the first room. After that, you are set loose, although the self-tour moves in one direction through the museum. Climbing the tower was fun and... more

Waste of Money. I got a nice picture from the top of the tower but I can't convince myself that the picture was worth the 20 something dollars it cost my boyfriend and I to go in. There's nothing in the museum and the acting is corny. more

I thought the shipwreck museum was rather neat. You are first greeted my actors portraying a sea crew. A brief history is given by another crew member. I think they do a good job. The museum itself isnt that huge but does have a lot of little interesting artifacts. If you rush thru you would be disappointed. If you take... more

My friend and I decided to take the "tour" of the Shipwreck Historeum Museum in Keywest on May 11 2007...We had seen it in passing on previous visits to Keywest but never went in. I think that it is interesting from an historical stand point but it was not very well done in my opinion and not worth the money... more

My husband was in charge of planning Key West activities, and thus had not done much research on attractions. What a mistake! This place looked good on the outside, but was a total waste of money. We are both embarrassed that we... more

It's a nice place to visit. The actors were entertaining as you are portrayed as new crewmen for the ships owner. The museum is filled with items taken from a salvage of the Allerton, a ship that went down in the Keys. Take the trip to the lookout tower if you dare. 65 feet to the top... more

Not meant for kids! There are no hands on activities once inside. There are artifacts, but not certain there is enough to cover more than half an hour. There is a poor laser exhibit where a pirates face is beamed onto a figure and he tries to talk to you about shipwrecks. The audio was horrible. The highlight was walking... more
