I've been to Key West countless times and didn't think I would like the museum. I finally had some time to kill and thought, "what the heck, let's try it." I have to admit that I enjoyed the Shipwreck Museum. At first I thought I had made a mistake with the tacky acting out front. But once we got inside... More

This was not at all a good museum. They tried really hard to make it enjoyable with the actors portraying historic figures, but I don't even think children were interested. My husband is a historian and we love museums but this place was literally a "shipwreck". The artifacts were improperly labeled, and there was not much care taken to lay... More

I had been to Kew West many times and always wanted to stop here. I wasn't overly impressed. The actors were funny and the tower view was awesome, other then that it was ok at best. We bought it a combo pack with the Little Whitehouse. If you have time to watch all the little videos and reaqd everythong then... More

For $14 a person I expected a little more. The guide is a representation of a late 1800's owner of a salvage company. He has some interesting facts/information during a 10 minute presentation. The rest is a walk through of artifacts and displays of salvage in the keys through history. While my nine year old son found some of the... More

The shipwreck museum was a fun spot to visit. You do learn quite a bit about the history of Key West, and the "wreckers" who worked there. The tower that is part of the museum is a great spot to get a 360 view of Key West! The cost of admission is quite high for the amount of time you... More

We really learned a lot about the history of Key West and the shipping salvage that occurred there. Fantastic little visit.

The museum sounded cool. I guess I expected to see a bunch of items that were salvaged from shipwrecks....not really what I got for the $14-15 admission price. A guide walked us into the museum. He played the role of someone involved in the shipwreck salvaging business. I will call him an acting museum guide. He was good. He seemed... More

I'm always been fascinated by shipwrecks and as I learned about the history of Key West, shipwreck salvage plays a big part. The tour is interesting enough and much of the items on display are great, but its the view of Key West from the tower that made this museum worth it. It is best to purchase a combined ticket...
